Zombies have come a extended path from their Afro-Caribbean origins of Haiti and Africa. The modern zombie started to capture a bit of a twist after George A. Romero's 1968 film Night of the Living Dead. The success of this film prompted the modern pop culture version of Zombies and recently a slew of zombie movies and video games.
